Deep and Wide: Standing Firm
Storms are a part of life. Sometimes they arrive suddenly. Other times, we can see them building on the horizon. They may come through illness, disappointment, loss, uncertainty, or circumstances beyond our control. While we cannot prevent every storm, we can be prepared to stand when one comes. This Sunday, we will continue our Deep and Wide series with a message titled “Standing Strong.” We will discover how God uses even the difficult seasons of life to deepen our roots, strengthen our faith, and develop steadfastness within us. James writes: “For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness” (James 1:3, ESV). God does not promise us a life without storms—but he does promise to be with us in them. When our lives are rooted in Christ and our hope is anchored in him, the storm does not have to carry us away.
