Welcome to the GreenHouse Children's Ministry!

We are delighted to welcome your children to our GreenHouse Children’s Ministry at DeWitt Christian Church. Our mission is to nurture and guide your children to become the Christian individuals our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ intends them to be. 

Sunday Morning Schedule 

The GreenHouse Children’s Church meets every Sunday morning at 10:15 AM. Upon arrival, parents can check their children in at the designated check-in station located in the lobby. After check-in, children will proceed directly to either the Nursery or Children’s Church, depending on their age group. 

Age Groups and Class Structure 

Our GreenHouse Ministry offers care, activities, and teaching in a loving environment. Children are grouped as follows: 

  • Sprouts: Nursery for ages 0 to 3 years old 
  • Seedlings: Kindergarten to 2nd grade  
  • Saplings: 3rd to 4th grade 

Children will go straight to the Nursery or GreenHouse Children’s Church for playtime until the service begins. Children’s Church starts with worship and a large group story, followed by breaking into age-appropriate groups. 

Our Ministry Approach 

We are passionate about tending to and nurturing your children’s spiritual growth. As they progress, children move through the different stages: starting as “Seedlings” in the nursery, growing into “Sprouts” in kindergarten through 2nd grade, and becoming “Saplings” in 3rd and 4th grade. By 5th grade, they are ready to transition to the Upper Room Middle School experience. 

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures 

  • Bring your child or children to the sign-in desk in the main foyer. 
  • Your child will receive a name label; you will receive a copy to present when picking them up. 
  • After registration, we will take your child or children to the main classroom or nursery. 
  • After the service, children are released to their parent or designated adult upon presentation of the label copy to the Nursery or Children’s Church representative.
